Five Products for Optimal Skin Care at Spa of the Rockies at Glenwood Hot Springs

Glenwood Springs, CO (PRWEB) April 19, 2012

Since opening four years ago, Spa of the Rockies clients have had the opportunity to try and observe, either via spa services or at-home treatments, the results of the many products available at the award-winning spa located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The top sellers deliver consistent results to a demanding clientele in a crowded marketplace. The Spa of the Rockies? peak performers include products from Pure Inventions, Kneipp, Eminence, Lexli and Zents.

?Skin and body care are some of the top reasons our clients choose Spa of the Rockies,? said Avalon Lionheart, Spa of the Rockies Manager. ?Our aestheticians and therapists receive ongoing education about the efficacy of products, but ultimately it?s our clients who tell us which products are the most effective.?

When guests check in for a treatment at Spa of the Rockies, they are offered a green tea beverage from Pure Inventions featuring a liquid nutritional supplement that is added to water and is rich in antioxidants, the nutrients believed to promote younger-looking skin, a healthy metabolism and increased energy. The company founded by Lynne Gerhards and Lori Mulligan, both certified clinical nutritionists and nutritional consultants, offers a variety of formulations, but the flavor favorite at Spa of the Rockies is Pure Inventions Pineapple Coconut Green Tea. Pure Inventions uses stevia leaf and lo han fruit as natural sweeteners; both are low-glycemic and may aid with digestion. Each serving provides the same benefits as ten cups of brewed tea; one two-ounce bottle provides an incredible 60 servings.

Enhancing the overall well-being of clients is the paramount mission of Spa of the Rockies massage therapists. Whether the client is an athlete just off a race or is suffering from the symptoms associated with arthritis or fibromyalgia, each is looking for the relief that often only comes with a massage. ?For these clients we typically use our line of Kneipp arnica products in treatments and recommend them for at-home care as well,? explains Spa of the Rockies massage therapist Mike Sussman, who specializes in deep tissue and sports massage. The arnica plant is one of the best-known medicinal plants, used for centuries by Europeans and Native Americans. With its natural anti-inflammatory properties, Kneipp Arnica Joint & Muscle Intensive Cream is especially effective for easing discomfort associated with joint stiffness, as well as soothing puffiness of the legs and ankles.

In addition to massage services, facials are the other preferred treatment at Spa of the Rockies. Because of dryness related to both aging and the climate, the Stonecrop Hydration Facial is a favorite with spa-goers. The 50-minute treatment uses products featuring the ultra-hydrating stonecrop plant, a succulent, to encourage cell regeneration, lighten pigmentation spots and erase the signs of sun damage. It?s no wonder the Eminence Stonecrop Whip Moisturizer remains a bestseller among men and women. All products in the Hungarian-based Eminence line are made by hand in small batches, with ingredients sourced from biodynamic farms from around the world. Another succulent plant-based product popular with Spa of the Rockies clientele is the Lexli Lightening Lift Mask. The physician-formulated line uses pharmaceutical-grade aloe vera to treat skin conditions including acne, rosacea, eczema and more. The Lightening Lift Mask provides a temporary lift to the skin and helps to diminish fine lines, while simultaneously toning and firming.

For all the skin between face and feet, Zents lotions rich in organic shea butter are the go-to source for body hydration. The Boulder, Colorado-based company believes in gentle scents, ones that are not overpowering or filled with synthetic ingredients, ideals which seem to resonate with Spa of the Rockies guests. Two particular Zents scents stand out: Fresh, with notes of crisp linden blossom, green apple and lemon that create a light, uplifting fragrance; and Earth, a clean, classic scent that features bergamot, Siberian fir and frankincense.

These diverse products are top sellers at Spa of the Rockies; however, aestheticians and therapists are highly skilled at recommending products that are specifically targeted to the needs of individual clients. Spa of the Rockies was recently recognized with awards by both SpaFinder and Spa magazine. To book an appointment for a massage, facial or other spa service, please call 970-947-3331 or 877-947-3331.

Bigfoot CMMS Named 2012 Money-Saving Product by BUILDINGS Magazine

Cedar Rapids, IA (PRWEB) May 09, 2012

BUILDINGS magazine has selected Bigfoot CMMS as a 2012 Money-Saving Product. Bigfoot CMMS is an award-winning preventive maintenance management solution used worldwide, and is part of an elite group of products that will be showcased in BUILDINGS?s June 2012 issue.

Finalist products were based on the money-saving qualities offered to building owners and facility managers in areas such as energy consumption, water savings, lighting, envelope improvement — and maintenance management software.

Facilities managers responsible for overall building operations rely on Bigfoot CMMS (computerized maintenance management software) to make sure every piece of equipment ? from production machines to outdoor sprinklers to alarms — is up and running and stays that way. Bigfoot CMMS tracks all building assets, spare parts inventories, outside repair contractors ? whatever comes under the facility manager?s purview ? and creates preventive maintenance schedules to anticipate repairs ahead of malfunctions.

The facilities management team of Gilpin County, CO, for example, uses Bigfoot CMMS for preventive maintenance of assets housed in eight county buildings. Tim Lewerke, facilities maintenance supervisor says, ?Now that we have Bigfoot to track maintenance of all county assets, we catch problems with our equipment before it fails and that has resulted in a 15 to 20 percent savings in maintenance costs.?

Bigfoot also manages maintenance and uptime at the Greenstar Recycling facility in Allentown, PA, which has increased throughput and yield while using less energy as a result. All machines are on Bigfoot CMMS?s preventive maintenance calendar, including a list of tasks and procedures for each machine, with automatic email reminders. According to Chris Morgan, Greenstar plant manager:

?The way we now manage our maintenance department with Bigfoot has helped us continually cut costs in equipment service, parts used, as well as maintenance costs per ton, which has decreased dramatically over the years. In the last three years since we implemented Bigfoot CMMS we?ve been able to analyze replacement part usage and find ways to cut inventory costs. Overall, we?ve cut maintenance costs per ton by nearly 40 percent.?

New Trends in Travel: Tracing the Ancient Silk Route through China and Seeking the Threads of a Colorful Past

Ann Arbor, MI (PRWEB) April 06, 2012

Time travel may be impossible but, increasingly, modern travelers are conjuring on-the-spot visions of Marco Polo’s caravans crossing the central Asian steppes and marauding hordes attacking Kashgar’s market fortifications. JOURNEYS International, a specialty tour operator based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, has been offering travel on the ancient vestiges of Silk Route trade paths for more than two decades. Tour operators, such as JOURNEYS, report a renewed interest in traveling the Silk Route.

Tourists tracing the ancient Silk Route across Asia reject the conventional sightseeing of crowded urban centers in China, India and Pakistan for the less-traveled, often obscure threads of the earliest intercontinental commerce. In a sense, the Silk Route was a pre-Medieval Asian interstate highway network linking South Asia and the Far East with Europe. Although Tatar hordes are not a concern for modern travelers, while re-tracing the most ancient of beaten paths, travelers find few tourists, but many opportunities for vivid, scenic photography, cross-cultural exchange and visions of history reborn.

Historically, the Silk Route stretched from China through the Middle East all the way to Europe. Today, most travelers are advised to focus their trip on the eastern portion of the Silk Route. “Just as in ancient times, the preferred route keeps changing based upon hostilities, banditry and diplomatic warnings. These days not many tourists choose to follow the routes through northern Pakistan or Afghanistan, but the routes in western China connecting Beijing with modern day Xian, Hotan, Dunhuang, Urumqi and Kashgar are safe, seldom-visited and inspiring, ” said JOURNEYS Director Will Weber. “Modern inhabitants of these ancient sites are rediscovering their appreciation for contemporary travelers and, in turn, travelers’ interests are spurring a revival of ancient architecture, art and customs.”

“Two thousand years after these routes were first opened by Chinese Han Dynasty emperors through outposts like Samarkand, Bukhara, Kashgar and Karakoram, a new kind of traveler equipped with cameras and iPads instead of swords and steeds is fascinated by the ruins and mystique of the long vanished caravans,” Weber said. Weber has led groups of travelers over portions of the Silk Route in China, Mongolia, India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrghistan and Tajikistan.

JOURNEYS International is offering a September 2012 version of “Tracing the Ancient Silk Route.”

On this 14-day group trip through northern and western China, participants sleep in three star

Moments after Mayor Segarra and Rita Ortiz flipped the enormous switch, the dinosaur let out a giant roar and moved its head from side to side. The crowd was delighted and were invited inside for a tour of the exhibit.

The custom “switch” used in the ceremony was made by Connecticut Light & Power who fashioned the mechanism from a vintage telephone pole and customized it with the date to mark the occasion. The crew delivered it with pride and even helped make a last minute adjustment to the giant banner with their bucket truck.

Bringing the dinosaur to life was symbolic of the partner support that was needed to bring this one-of-a-kind experience to Hartford. Thanks to Travelers, the Connecticut Science Center has opened its biggest and most anticipated traveling exhibit to date. Dinosaurs Unearthed will delight and attract visitors from all regions of Connecticut and beyond during its five-month stay. More than 100,000 people are expected to view the exhibit. This creates positive economic impact and unforgettable experiences with science that will motivate students and visitors of all ages to enthusiastically embrace science at school, at home, and in their communities.

The Dinosaurs Unearthed Exhibit is on the 4th Floor of the Science Center, in the Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center Traveling Exhibit Gallery. The exhibit features 14 life-size animatronic dinosaurs, 3 full-scale skeletons and 23 real fossil artifacts. To view the Dinosaurs Unearthed TV commercial click here.
